We're Back From Disney!

Well, we got back late last night (Sunday) from Disney Land & Disney's California Adventure! We had a great time! Lots to see and too much to do! We're very tired today and plan to spend the day doing not much of anything but relaxing and preparing for our last full day (Tuesday) in San Diego.
We started our trip to Disney Land early Saturday morning and went well into the night on Saturday to see the closing fireworks show. Victoria & Samantha got to meet some of their favorite Disney Characters and get their autographs! On Sunday, we got going in the morning and went to California Adventure where the girls got to meet some more Characters and have some fun on the rides and seeing the shows (Victoria got to see and participate a little bit in the High School Musical show).
There are some pictures to show you here and then hopefully I'll get one more post tomorrow night with our last full day...we plan to take Uncle Tommy & Aunt Shiloh's boat out to a lake for a while for another relaxing day!
Hope everyone is doing well!

Happy Friday!

Sorry it's been so long since a posting! We come home from these day-long trips and are ready for bed! Let's see what we need to tell you...on Wednesday, we went to the San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park...it's like a safari in the "suburbs" of San Diego! It's 18 times larger in size than the actual zoo! What makes it more amazing than the actual zoo is that we were more "up close and personal" with the animals. It was a very hot day, so the girls got to splash around a bit in the Splash Zone after we took a guided "safari" through the "jungles of Africa" and saw animals such as Giraffes, Lions, Zebras and Emu (just to name a few).
On Thursday, we went and toured the "Museum of Making Music". You'll notice there are no pictures and that's because we weren't allowed to take photographs in the museum; but we can tell you that it was really neat to see! The museum is a walking tour of the history of Popular American Music from the late 1800's (Rag Time) to current day. The last room had a bunch of instruments that we could play around with and see what they sounded like. After the Museum, we took a return trip to the place that Victoria & Samantha loved the most so far...Lego Land! This time, the weather was much warmer than when we went the first time and they were able to splash around in the water portion of the park as well as hit up some of the rides that we weren't able to get on the first time around.
Today, (Friday) we took it a little bit easy to prepare for the weekend trip (more about this in a second). We went over to visit Uncle Francis, Aunt Jen and Anthony for a while and the we took a tour boat cruise around the San Diego Harbor. The tour was 2 hours long and we got to see the Naval Ship Yards and the San Diego and Coronado Areas from the harbor...it was a lot of fun and really neat to see!
This may be the last post you see again until Monday Night because VERY early tomorrow morning we are heading to Disney Land! We are getting ready now to head to bed to get a good night's sleep and be ready to pull out of Aunt Shiloh's house by no later than 5:30 or 6:00 a.m.! If we (read: Sam) have the opportunity to post before than, we'll be sure to; but don't be surprised or worried if you don't hear anything until Monday night!

Talk to you all soon!

We've Been Keeping Busy!

I know it's been a few days since we last checked in, but we've been busy and pretty exhausted when we get home at night! From the last post until Sunday, we spent more and more time at the beaches of the San Diego Area...we watched Fireworks over the ocean at Ocean Beach on Friday night for the Fourth of July; Saturday, we spent another day at Pacific Beach with Terry Myers, Kerry Savitski, and Nick Chesney who were in San Diego visiting for...
...Sunday, which started out with going to church on the Naval Base in Coronado for Anthony Michael's Baptism! He was a near perfect boy for the ceremony! After the baptism at the church, we headed over to Coronado Beach for the party! Had lots of fun with family & friends!
Monday, we headed off to the San Diego Zoo! We had a great time and saw lots of neat animals! It was a VERY big Zoo and is known for their Panda Bears...which were really neat to see.
Today was probably Victoria & Samantha's favorite day so far! We headed off to Lego Land, California! It was also really neat and amazing to see how many ways they could use Legos (there were over 40 million Legos used in various ways throughout the park!) Victoria was able to particpate as an "Egyptian Dancer" in one of the Shows that the park puts on. We had a nice time and are now ready for bed!
Tomorrow, we plan to head to the San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park...we'll let you know how that is tomorrow!

Hope all are doing well!

Another Day at the Beach

After a good night's sleep, we got up and moving and headed off for another day at the beach in San Diego!

Today, we headed for Pacific Beach...we arrived by around 11:00 a.m., had some breakfast and spent the day at the beach...not much to tell other than Victoria learned how to "Boogie Board" and met a friend (Connor) from Mississippi! The day started off cloudy and cold (and, no, we're not exagerating, it was 67 degrees at 11:00 a.m.) but quickly turned around to become a beautiful day...warm, sunny and absolutely perfect!

Check in tomorrow and see if we hit up another beach or decided to do something different...we'll let you know soon!

Love to all!
Sam,
Traci, Victoria, Samantha, Tom, Betty & Shiloh!
